Who we are

El Paso Edge is a networking group owned, operated, and managed by Star Mountain Marketing (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Star Mountain Marketing and its partners provide the group’s training, services, and guidance. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information through elpasoedge.com, our community signup forms, community administration, resource requests, and related communications.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide, including your first and last name, email address, phone number, business information you choose to share, support messages, and information submitted with resource or workflow requests.

We also maintain communication preferences, signup and consent records, and records of communications with us. Our website and form providers may collect technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, page visits, referral information, and submission timestamps to operate and secure their services. The specific records available depend on the provider and configuration.

When you participate on Discord, we may see your username, community roles, posts, and activity available to community administrators. Discord separately processes information under its own policies.

Please do not submit passwords, payment-card details, sensitive personal information, or confidential customer records through community posts or general request forms.

How we use information

We use information to process signups; provide community invitations and onboarding; administer free or paid access when applicable; respond to questions and requests; deliver requested resources; maintain communication preferences; prevent abuse; and maintain records necessary for our operations and legal obligations.

We use community signup information to keep you informed about newly published blog articles, resources, upcoming or updated webinars, workshops, guest speakers, and other community activities, consistent with your communication preferences. We do not use this information for cold calls, sales approaches, or marketing agency services or paid offers to you. Providing a phone number or joining Discord does not, by itself, authorize SMS messages.

Service providers and other disclosures

We use providers to host websites and forms, manage contact records, deliver email and text messages, and support community operations. Our current tools include Hexona, a branded version of GoHighLevel/LeadConnector, and Discord. Authorized staff, contractors, or training partners may access only information needed for assigned community administration, support, or delivery of requested training. Being a partner does not authorize use of community contact information for independent marketing.

We disclose information to providers as needed to perform these services, subject to applicable restrictions. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect safety, or protect legal rights.

We do not sell personal information. We do not provide community contact information to partners, affiliates, or other businesses for their own marketing, cold calls, or sales approaches.

Mobile information and SMS consent

We do not share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Limited sharing with service providers supporting customer service or message delivery is permitted. Text-message opt-in information and consent are excluded from other sharing categories and are used only to administer and deliver the messaging program through the providers involved in that service, or as legally required.

We request optional consent for automated community text updates about blog articles, webinars, workshops, guest speakers, community access, and related support. We do not use this program for agency sales offers. SMS consent is not a condition of joining the free community or purchasing a service. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. You can also contact [email protected].

We may retain limited consent and opt-out records after you stop messages so we can honor your preferences and meet applicable obligations.

Cookies and embedded services

Our website and embedded forms may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies for functionality, security, and preferences. Embedded services may process technical information when they load. Use the cookie controls displayed on the site or form, where available, and your browser settings to manage these technologies. Blocking some technologies may affect functionality.

Your community posts and third-party links

Information you post in community channels can be seen by others with access to those channels and may be copied by them. A private channel does not prevent another participant from saving or sharing what they can see. Share only information you are comfortable making available to those participants.

Discord and other external services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Following an external link or using a third-party service may result in information being collected by that service.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, taking account of membership administration, outstanding requests, consent records, security, disputes, and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Information no longer needed is deleted or de-identified, subject to reasonable backup and retention processes.

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the information we handle. No electronic service or transmission method can guarantee complete security.

Your choices and requests

You may ask to access, correct, or delete information we maintain about you by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have additional rights. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Some records may need to be retained for legal, security, or consent-management reasons.

Use the unsubscribe link in a community-update email, when provided, or contact us to stop community-update emails. Reply STOP to stop SMS. Leaving Discord does not automatically update your email or SMS preferences; manage those separately.

Age and policy updates

The community is intended for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect signup information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information so we can investigate.

We may update this policy as our practices change. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required.
